holiday outfit ideas, holiday party ideas, work holiday outfits

With Christmas Eve’s arrival and New Years quickly approaching, there’s hardly any space to be in a quandary over Office Holiday Party outfit ideas. Instead of the inevitable forthcoming questions of what outfit could be appropriate enough for the bitterly cold weather, we say let’s embrace the art of layering and the magic of fabrics. We’ve therefore gathered 3 different outfits (Formal, Semi-formal, Creative), all evolving around this season’s latest runway trends-Velvet, Silk, Satin and Vintage.

Formal:
The first outfit
for the corporate office party dress code, has been kept formal, elegant and luxurious with the use of the cropped velvet coat and the pleated golden skirt from Valentino. To elevate the look, pair it with a trendier velvet platform heels that have been all over this season’s shows. Further, glam it all up with sleek golden hoops for earrings and a chic low bun (like the one styled by Rachel Zoe here: https://youtu.be/C1HtAyjmA7g)

Creative

For all our fellow creative industry gals out there with a relatively flexible dress code, here is the second outfit with the velvet jacket as its main focus. Balance the plain spaghetti strap top with a sheer bodysuit on top of it. Pair it with a similar velvet boots as your jacket for the uniformity and flow of the outfit. The vintage scarf contributes further to the trends and to keep it all formal enough, put on some classic straight denim blue jeans from Chloe. To keep yourself warm enough, layer it all with a quintessential city long black coat.

Semi-Formal
As for the third outfit the focus of the entire styling solely lies on that extravagant embroidered coat. The silk blouse with the flared cuff is more flowy than your conventional office blouses. Pair it with a pencil skirt, like the one shown in the picture which has fine zip detailing on both sides. Add a pop of color and shine with the statement clutch. Add some tights and ballet flats.
